Bi Pride UK’s mission is to create spaces where people who experience attraction beyond gender can be freely visible and celebrate themselves and their identities. It’s not enough to be ‘welcome’ at a Pride. We make up a very large proportion of the GRSD (Gender, Romantic and Sexual Diversity) community – many stats actually say we’re over half the community – and we deserve to be visible and celebrated in our own right.
There are many ways to make this happen, and we work in many ways to bring this change about:
- Outreach work – our consultation work with local Prides and the UK Pride Organisers Network works in a tailored way to make sure that bi-inclusion is a top priority and is being done well. We also put on corporate events, cabaret nights, and loads more, to make the country a little bit more inclusive
- Organising a high-profile annual Bi Pride event – Bi Pride UK organised the first Bi Pride in the UK, and the largest gathering of bi people in recorded history. This celebration of identity will continue every year offering a space for education and pride.
- Building a strong online and virtual community – just as important as the rest of our work is making sure that people hear about it! People need to know what resources and spaces exist for them, and how they can connect with other people like them

Unicorn Magazine is a sister project of Bi Pride UK. Launched as the world’s first bi arts and culture magazine. Unicorn now caters to a wide spectrum of sexualities and identities that fall in between gay and straight. The main objective of Unicorn Magazine is to platform under-represented voices form the community while talking about sexuality in real-life context. A space to excite and inspire. Readership of Unicorn is already in the tens of thousands online, content published from over 15 countries, shortlisted for two awards as part of Bi Pride UK. For 2021, Unicorn Magazine’s operational objectives is to expand its readership, support team, and to start a rapid revenue generation process to be able to give back more crucial funds to the community and contributors to the magazine. In short: reach more people, fund more talent.
The Digital Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Digital to plan, schedule, and post content across our accounts. It’s a super important role to keep the conversation flowing while learning new skills about content curation. The Digital Coordinator will also analyse and report back to the Editorial Team what articles and content is performing well and what direction the magazine should go, keeping the community at heart in everything we do at Unicorn Magazine.
- Leading the content calendar and making sure we always have something to say
- Curating content from different teams and designers and making sure our platforms look like Unicorn Magazine
- Managing your work loads and times and keeping your manager informed on your progress with scheduling and content needs
- Researching and suggesting partnerships and opportunities for growth· Pitching ideas for issues and social content for Unicorn
- Responding to breaking news and viral social content with opportunities for Unicorn Magazine to add to the conversation or to create content

· Interest and passion for tackling discrimination against and improving the visibility of people in the UK who experience attraction to more than one gender;
· An understanding of the needs of bi people and communities in the UK;
· Commitment to the aims and objectives of Bi Pride UK;
· A team player who is ready to get stuck in with an awesome charity team
· Experience curating content for journalistic or arts projects
· Connections to a network of GRSD writers and artists
· A degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Business Management preferred but not essential
· Meticulous attention to detail;
· Ability to self-motivate when working remotely;
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
